In this context, we believe in particular in the function of the forest relevant for climate and nature protection. Hence our last invested project, forest protection in Brazil to compensate, supplemented by local reforestation in Germany to maintain a healthy environment at home as well.
A bit more expensive than energy projects, but we are convinced that forest protection and reforestation really help.

CO 2 compensation with Marco Polo Air quite simple:
- You tell us when you make your request that you want to offset the carbon footprint of the flight.
- With the order confirmation you will receive a calculation of the planned kerosene consumption and the associated emissions. At the current prices we offer the compensation. This is currently about 1% of the cost of the flight.
You can still select or delete the position now. - From our credit balance, we allocate you shares in the climate protection fund.
- Several times a year, we take stock and increase our commitment according to need.

How much CO2 is produced when kerosene is burned?
For every ton of kerosene burned, 3.16 metric tons of CO2 are produced.
Why are airlines still hardly using alternative fuels?
These are still in very limited supply, approved only for blending with kerosene and not yet competitive, but a trend that must be followed.
